ABSTRACT
Nowadays, finding a job is very hard in this economy compared to the past. It is highly competitive because there are a lot of applicants with the similar academic achievements and experiences with only a few job openings to be fill. This situation is also tough for employer because in this economy, they need to find the best from the large number of applicants. There are cases where are thousands of resume are sent form applicants just for one job opening. Plus, how can employer conduct an interview with every person that applied for the job? It would take a lot of time and resources just to fill a position. How can employee find the best one in this thousands of applicants?Applicants Qualification Filtering System propose a way for employer to get a shortlist of employees according to their preference to go to the next stage of the hiring process . The main users of this system will be employer and applicants.Firstly, the applicants will access the system to find their preferred employee and find the vacancy listed under the company.Then employee will take the three tests which is Employee Personality Profile,Aptitude Test and Basic Skill Test to secure them for an interview. Then,using weighted sum method,their marks from all the tests will be total up and employers will get to choose candidates for the interview session using the marks obtained from the tests conducted.
OBJECTIVES
To develop a system that enable applicants to enter their personal details and register themselves as the applicants for the job position.

In decision theory, the weighted sum model (WSM) is the best known and simplest multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) / multi-criteria decision making method for evaluating a number of alternatives in terms of a number of decision criteria.
By assigning weight to the three component of the tests, the total mark is obtained by using weighted sum. For example: Aptitude : 70% /100 Personality : 20% /100 Basic Skill : 10% / 100 |
